Editing
Open the edit panel with E. Editing in bloom is non-destructive: your file on disk is never changed, and the live preview is exactly what exports.
The modifier stack
Effects are applied top to bottom as a stack. Each one is a separate step you can retune, reorder, or remove at any time.
- Add a modifier
- Pick it from the modifier list in the edit panel
- Reorder
- Drag a modifier up or down the stack
- Retune
- Click a modifier to expand its controls
- Remove
- Delete it from the stack
- Compound
- Add the same modifier twice to stack its effect
On-canvas tools
Four tools live at the top of the edit panel, each with a keyboard shortcut.
- Select S
- Pan and inspect without editing
- Crop C
- Drag a region directly on the image
- Draw D
- Freehand brush strokes, adjustable size
- Text T
- Type on the canvas, crisp at any zoom
Crop, draw, and text are themselves modifiers in the stack, so they too are non-destructive and can be reordered or removed. Brush size is adjustable with [ and ] while the draw tool is active.
